OFFICIAL PUBLISHER · SOURCE PROFILE

World Bank.

World Development Indicators (WDI) brings together international and national statistical sources. Our initial monitor uses six specifically reviewed indicators.

Why these indicators

These country-level time series provide consistent identifiers and documented definitions for population, prices, economic output, labor markets and life expectancy. Their underlying institutions include national statistical offices, the United Nations, IMF and ILO, as described in each indicator’s metadata.

Publication through a common catalog does not make every underlying national method identical. Indicator definitions, source footnotes and comparison restrictions remain visible.
