The idea
World Signal Monitor connects data, transparent analysis and the evidence behind the numbers. It helps readers explore a statistic, understand what it measures, follow its history and make a valid comparison.
Our first edition focuses on the United States and Canada. A reviewed public catalog sits above a private semantic data hub that preserves source records, definitions, mappings, observation revisions and publication rights.
Useful rather than universal
A smaller collection with clear meaning is more useful than a large one with uncertain joins. The monitor begins with national population, economic output, prices, labor-market indicators and life expectancy. Coverage will expand through maintained connectors and reviewed measurement definitions.
Independent and inspectable
The monitor is an independent publication. Official publishers supply the underlying observations; linked methods and source records explain how the data was produced. Platform calculations carry their own formulas and input release identities.
